Philip Lomax owner of Dryll Furniture, started his career in furniture making in school and went on to further develop it with qualifications in art and design in college, before completing a first class honours degree in Furniture Design and Making through Manchester University.
On leaving university he set up a workshop in Handforth, Wilmslow for several years and went on to gain experience in joinery and more large scale building works.
Since deciding to return to his home ground in Llanfairpwll on Anglesey he has established a workshop in the grounds of his home. More recently his work is to be found at local craft fairs and turned pieces in the shops of The National Trusts’ Plas Newydd Estate. Dryll Furniture is the result of over 20 years experience working with wood, MDF, ply wood and many other materials whether they be new to order or reclaimed.
Phil will also make work to commission and is always happy to discuss your requirements and individual needs and would aim to produce a piece of furniture large or small which will both serve you well in its function and be something to be proud of in its appearance.
